SuP is a personal support application i've worked on during my minor, digital experience design, at Fontys. This half year I worked on various projects in international multidisciplinary teams.
The project was done for Catherina Hospital in Eindhoven. We were asked to find a way to support patients who are suffering from eusaphaigal cancer in their healthcare path.
To better understand patients we organised interviews with specialists, patients and support groups. In the proces we worked in a iterative proces with the aim of designing the best product for the end-user.
With a hint of mediation theory and research in patient needs I came up with a concept that would help the patient connect en communicate with their doctors and family.
I've worked on this project with Aranca Akkermans (Media & ICT, Fontys), Koen van der Hulst (Software Engineer, Avans) and Boryana Stoyanova (Marketing, Fontys).
The project was in co-creation with the hospital. Multiple usertests with high, mid and low fidelity prototypes gave input for the next iterations.
A good user interface and experience was one of my tasks within the project. The target group is people within the age categorie from sixty up to eighty years old. But also people like the children within a age categorie from thirty to fifty.
Inside the app it is posible to get in touch with a conversational agent. This conversational agent can help you with the use of the app and gives helpful tips within the healthcare path.
This project learned me a lot about human centered design. To design for a target group like this was a challenge in a lot of ways. To design a concept that is both reliable and supporting for the health for the patient without risking it in any sort of way. A lot of scenarios were thought through to make sure we would not design a app that had any risks for the patients.
